Inconel 601 (UNS N06601 / W.Nr. 2.4851 / NS3103) is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy known for excellent oxidation resistance up to 1200°C, even in cyclic conditions. It forms a dense, adherent oxide layer that resists spalling. With good mechanical strength, high-temperature corrosion resistance, and good weldability, it's ideal for thermal and chemical environments.

Bar, rod, and forging forms are used in furnace hardware, gas turbines, and petrochemical equipment. Wire serves well in heating elements and thermocouples. Plate and strip are applied in heat shields, muffles, and process vessels. Inconel 601 also resists carburization, nitridation, and oxidation in sulfur-rich atmospheres, making it widely used in aerospace, power generation, heat treating, and chemical processing industries.
